My Passport Wd Not Showing Up Mac Os
I have a WD 2TB My Passport external drive. I used it on my Macbook a month ago and it worked fine. I tried to use it again today but it does not show in my Devices on Finder anymore. What I observed: The light is on and it is blinking. It is vibrating very lightly, like it always does. WD My Passport Ultra 2TB. 5) As I already stated, it worked on my old iMac. I do not agree, that there is any issue with my new iMac, every other device, including a Western Digital 3TB device, all work correctly. I am not contacting Apple about this issue, this is a Western Digital My Passport issue. 6) Since it showed up correctly on my old iMac, the device has not.
Trying to use it on my girlfriend’s computer is a completely different matter. It doesn’t register that the drive even exists, though the device connected noise sounds. It doesn’t give me any option to format the drive, I don’t get any kind of error message. The closest thing this computer gets to admitting the drive exists is that in the devices and printers window it shows that a drive is there, and that the drive is “working properly”.

I tried plugging in a 1 TB WD drive that was also previously formatted for macintosh just to see if it would have a similar problem - it did not. The 1 TB drive works just fine and installed all of its drivers properly.
